The Last Bee is a 2D animated short produced by Mufilm for one of Europe's most advanced special waste dumps, Barricalla. I directed it together with the documentary filmmaker Andrea Deaglio, I took care of the character design and the design of the entire short film, with frame by frame animation.
"In a world where a mysterious liquid leads to the death of bees, a young bee, believed to be the last survivor, struggles for survival through the declining city. After a dark odyssey, she awakens in a green and sunny paradise, guided by a fox to the hope of the hive, discovering that her species is not extinct. The struggle for salvation turns into a journey of rebirth in this compelling film about man's impact on nature and the resilience of life."
